Due to holes in the volcanic rock, blow holes are formed. They are located on the coastal road of Tahiti. An
incoming wave crashes into the rock and forces air and water into the hole.
Tahiti is younger than Moorea. The barrier reef has not yet fully formed. This allows for the shore breaks on Tahiti.
