Due to the formation of the island, many interesting features have developed. One of these is the fern grottos.
The picture here shows the entrance to one of the main grottos.
The fern grottos are holes in the rock. The Tahitians have taken to swimming in the pools formed by the grottos.
The ferns hanging from this cliff were ranging up to five feet in length.
The grottos provided a very relaxing, cool hideaway.
After a day exploring the grottos and blow holes, it was back to the hotel for a final dinner in Tahiti.
The Royal Tahitian Hotel had an unforgettable view of Moorea in the setting sun.
